Over the last six months, Lauren Parsekian and Molly Stroud have travelled around the country speaking to schools, organizations, and individuals about the issue of girl-against-girl “crime”. While shooting the documentary, they had the chance to visit over 60 schools and organizations with their program. The life-changing experience they had within the schools motivated them to take their program to as many school districts as possible. Being two young girls who recently graduated from Pepperdine University, Lauren and Molly are able to connect to girls on a personal level. They were in the student’s shoes not long ago and because of that, girls LISTEN and RELATE. Their presentation and interactive discussion and activities create a casual and non-judgmental atmosphere that allows girls to feel comfortable talking about their experiences while opening up to their peers. The Kind Campaign assemblies have created a positive and immediate change in thousands of girl’s lives. It is unlike any other program around. It brings awareness and healing to a national phenomenon that needs immediate attention. Bullying is real, its dangerous and it’s hitting females harder than ever before. This is a raw, personal, relatable and life-changing program that will likely change the dynamic among the female students within your school.
This coming 2010/2011 school year, Lauren and Molly will hit the road again for a second road-trip across America. From September-December 2010, the girls will travel around the country visiting schools and premiering their finished documentary. This journey will mark the beginning of a nation- wide spread of the Kind Campaign school program.
